FORT Ferrator

Water Treatment with Sodium Ferrate

  • Next-generation water treatment
  • Cleaner, safer, and more cost-effective
  • A proven eco-friendly alternative to chlorine, ozone, and UV

Sodium hydroxide, iron electrodes, and electricity

Input

The FORT Ferrator system creates fresh sodium ferrate using electrolysis

Process

Clean, safe water — no chlorine smell, no storage risks, no toxic waste

Result

FORT Ferrator is the first compact, modular system that produces sodium ferrate directly where you need it

A powerful solution that kills bacteria, viruses, and removes chemicals like oil, dyes, and industrial waste

Output

How Sodium Ferrate Cleans Water

Sodium ferrate (Na₂FeO₄) is a new, eco-friendly way to clean water.

Unlike chlorine or ozone, it does three jobs at once: oxidizes, disinfects, and removes impurities. That means safer water, lower costs, and no toxic byproducts.

With sodium ferrate, you don’t need to handle or store dangerous chemicals.

The solution is made fresh, on-site, using only alcali (NaOH 20%), electricity, and iron.

Why choose FORT Ferrator?

Verified effectiveness against chemical pollutants and biological contaminants

Lower chemical volumes and disposal costs than chlorine, ozone, or UV

FORT Ferrator is the winner of the BRICS Solution Awards 2024 for Climate & Environmental Technologies

International recognition

Fully compliant with global potable water and discharge standards

12-month ROI at ~0.1 million m³/year wastewater throughput

Demonstrated turbidity and color reduction when combined with coagulants

From large-scale municipal plants to specialized industrial operations and remote facilities, FORT Ferrator adapts to every application:

Where FORT Ferrator Works

Large-scale plants

Municipal utilities, wastewater treatment, and industrial operations

Hazardous waste, stormwater, acidic pools, and drinking water systems

Specialized uses

Oil & gas fields, mining, airports, and regions with limited infrastructure

Remote locations

Key Benefits

Petroleum products, phenols, MTBE, dyes, bacteria, viruses

All-in-one treatment

Combines oxidation, disinfection, and coagulation in a single step

Broad contaminant removal

No chlorine handling, no carcinogenic byproducts

Safe operations

Meets strict discharge standards, chlorine-free effluent

Regulatory сompliance

Modular units producing 50 g to 10 kg of sodium ferrate per day

Compact and calable

Produces non-toxic, easily filterable residues

Low-sludge output

Sodium ferrate generated in situ, no transport or storage needed

On-site production

2× cheaper than sodium hypochlorite, 10× cheaper than ozone or UV

Proven cost advantage
